Sample Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Accra
Arrive in Accra, Ghana’s vibrant capital. Meet your tour guide and fellow travelers for a warm welcome dinner featuring traditional Ghanaian dishes, such as jollof rice, fufu, and banku. Settle in and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Accra City Tour
Discover Accra’s bustling markets and cultural landmarks. Visit the National Museum, the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, and the historic Jamestown area. Take a stroll along the lively Makola Market, then admire the city from the top of the Independence Arch and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
Day 3: Cape Coast & Elmina
Travel to the coast to explore two of Ghana’s most poignant historical sites: Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle, both former slave trading forts. Learn about Ghana’s role in the transatlantic slave trade. Enjoy a serene walk on the sandy beaches before returning to Accra.
Day 4: Kakum National Park & Rainforest Canopy Walk
Head to Kakum National Park for a thrilling canopy walk above the treetops of the tropical rainforest. The park is home to diverse wildlife and lush vegetation. Enjoy a guided tour to learn about the park’s ecosystem, then head to a nearby village for lunch and cultural immersion.
Day 5: Kumasi – The Ashanti Heartland
Travel to Kumasi, the historical capital of the Ashanti Kingdom. Explore the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Ashanti King, and visit the Kumasi Central Market, one of the largest in West Africa. In the evening, enjoy a traditional drum and dance performance that showcases Ashanti culture.
Day 6: Lake Bosumtwi & Adinkra Village
Visit Lake Bosumtwi, a serene crater lake surrounded by lush hills. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake and learn about its spiritual significance to the local Ashanti people. Afterward, visit an Adinkra printing village to experience this traditional craft and its intricate symbols.
Day 7: Mole National Park – Safari Adventure
Fly to Tamale and journey to Mole National Park, Ghana’s largest wildlife reserve. Embark on an afternoon safari to spot elephants, antelope, baboons, and more in their natural habitat. Spend the night at a lodge overlooking the park’s savannah.
Day 8: Traditional Villages & Cultural Immersion

Day 9: Takoradi & the Western Coast

Day 10: Return to Accra & Departure
